About this GK for Class 1 quiz

These GK questions for Class 1 are the first step in our GK questions for class 1 to 5 series, written for children aged five to seven who are just starting school. The 15 questions cover things a Class 1 child sees every day: days of the week, months of the year, colours, shapes, body parts, animals and their sounds, baby animals, fruits, seasons and the rising Sun. Each question has four simple options and a short answer note that a parent or teacher can read aloud.

Use this general knowledge Class 1 quiz in three easy ways. At home, sit with your child, read each question out and let them tap the answer. In class, project it on the board and let the whole room shout out the option. For the school assembly, pick five questions from the answer key below and ask them as a quick round. Every answer comes with a one-line reason, so children learn something even when they get it wrong.

Fun fact to share with your little one: a baby dog is called a puppy, but a baby kangaroo is called a joey and it lives in its mother's pouch for months. When your child finishes this set, try the GK for Class 2 and Class 3 quizzes to keep learning step by step.
