About this General Knowledge for Kids quiz

This childrens quiz is a fun way for kids aged 6 to 12 to test what they know about animals, space, colours, festivals, India and the world. The 15 questions are short, clear and friendly, with a few tricky ones near the end to keep things exciting.

Every answer comes with a simple explanation, so children learn something new even when they guess wrong. For example, they find out why a spider is not an insect and why a whale counts as a mammal but a shark does not. These childrens quiz questions match what kids learn in primary school EVS, science and general knowledge lessons.

Parents can play it together with their child at home or on a long car ride, reading each question aloud for younger kids. Teachers can use it as a quick classroom game, a morning warm-up or a reward at the end of the week. It also works well as childrens trivia for birthday parties, where friends can take turns and compare scores. Because it is free and needs no sign-up, you can play again and again to beat your best score.

Here is a fun fact to share: a lotus leaf stays dry even in the rain, because tiny bumps on its surface make water roll off in shiny drops.
