About this Static GK quiz

This static GK quiz covers the fixed facts that rarely change from one year to the next: national symbols, rivers and dams, parks and lakes, mountain passes, classical dances, monuments, international bodies and awards. Unlike current affairs, static general knowledge stays true for years, which is why it forms a steady block of marks in SSC, banking, railway, state PSC and UPSC prelims papers.

The 15 static GK questions here run from easy to hard. The first few check basics most students already know, while later ones test details that are easy to mix up, such as the date of National Science Day or which state hosts the Hornbill Festival. Every answer comes with a short explanation that adds a linked fact, so each static GK MCQ teaches more than one thing.

Use the quiz as a quick revision round. Play once without notes, then open the answer key and write down every fact you missed, grouped by static GK topic: geography, culture, history and sports. If you are preparing static GK for bank exams, give extra time to currencies, headquarters and national parks, because they appear often. A short static quiz like this works best in daily bursts rather than one long session.

A fact worth remembering: Keoladeo National Park in Rajasthan began as a duck-hunting reserve for the rulers of Bharatpur and is now a World Heritage Site that protects the very birds once hunted there.
