These SSC GK questions are built around the General Awareness section of Staff Selection Commission exams such as CGL, CHSL, MTS, CPO and GD Constable. The 15 questions mix the topics that appear in almost every paper: history, polity, geography, general science, art and culture, sports and static GK about India and the world.
The level is medium to hard, matching the one-line, fact-based style that SSC prefers. Each answer includes a short explanation with a linked fact, so one question often teaches two or three things. For example, the question on Panipat also reminds you which rulers fought the first battle there.
Use this SSC quiz as a timed drill: General Awareness rewards speed, so aim to answer all 15 in under 7 minutes, then check the explanations for anything you missed. Keep a list of the facts you got wrong and revise them the next day. When you are done, switch to our UPSC and IAS GK pages for more general knowledge questions for SSC exam practice, or to current affairs sets for recent events. GK is only one part of the exam, so balance it with reasoning, English and SSC math practice.
A fact worth knowing: Loktak Lake in Manipur holds the world's only floating national park, Keibul Lamjao, home to the endangered sangai deer.
