About this Odisha GK quiz

This Odisha GK quiz has 15 questions on the land of Jagannath, Konark and Chilika. It begins with easy Odisha general knowledge, like the capital and the Rath Yatra, and works up to harder questions on the Kalinga War, Utkal Divas, the Konark builder, Hirakud Dam, Simlipal, olive ridley turtles and the state's name change. Each answer comes with a short explanation, so you learn the story behind every fact.

It suits teens and adults who enjoy a quick Odisha quiz, and students revising Odisha GK questions for OPSC, OSSC, OSSSC or other state-level exams, where 'firsts' and landmarks of Odisha are asked often. Play once, check the answer key, and replay later to lock in what you missed. Teachers can run it as a classroom round before Utkal Divas on 1 April, or pair it with a lesson on the state's festivals and heritage.

A fun fact to take away: when Odisha became a separate province on 1 April 1936, it was carved out of the old Bihar and Orissa Province. Its language, Odia, later became the sixth Indian language to be declared classical, in 2014.
