About this Guess the Pokemon quiz

Guess the Pokémon from emoji and Pokédex-style clues in this 15-round game, built for trainers who know their Kanto classics and their newer favourites. Each round gives you a short string of emoji plus a clue about the Pokémon's type, number, evolution or a famous moment, and four names to choose from.

The opening rounds are easy wins like Pikachu and Bulbasaur; later ones ask you to tell apart lookalikes, such as the three legendary birds or the many purple blobs, which makes it a fair guess the Pokémon quiz for casual fans and serious players alike. Every answer is followed by a short note on evolutions or Pokédex lore, so you finish knowing a little more than when you started.

This guess the Pokémon game uses clues instead of pictures, so it's less about spotting a zoomed-in outline and more about what you really know. Play it with friends and compare scores, or use it as a warm-up before a gaming night. Fun fact: Bulbasaur holds number 001 in the National Pokédex, but the first Pokémon ever designed is often said to be Rhydon.
