About this Assam GK quiz

This Assam GK quiz has 15 questions on the land of the Brahmaputra, tea gardens and the one-horned rhino. It starts with easy Assam general knowledge, such as the capital and Kaziranga, then moves to harder ground: the Ahom kingdom, the Battle of Saraighat, Sattriya dance, record-breaking bridges, Muga silk and the state's wildlife. Each answer has a short explanation, so a wrong guess still teaches you something.

The quiz suits teens, adults and students revising Assam GK questions for state exams such as APSC, Assam Police, ADRE or Assam TET, where history, culture and geography of the state are regular topics. Play it once to test yourself, read the explanations in the answer key, and come back later to check how much you remember. It also works as a fun Assam quiz for a classroom, a family evening or a group chat challenge.

Here is a fact many people miss: the Ahom dynasty, founded by Sukaphaa in 1228, ruled for about 600 years, one of the longest unbroken reigns in Indian history. Assam celebrates 2 December as Sukaphaa Divas, or Asom Divas, in his memory.
